West Indies announced the white-ball squads against Bangladesh 2025
West Indies announced the white-ball squads against Bangladesh 2025 to play six games in Bangladesh. Darren Sammy, the coach of the West Indies, considers this an important tour for their preparation. Bangladesh will host three ODIs first from 18 October and then three T20Is from 27 October. Shae Hope will lead the West Indies team in both formats. Brandon King, Gudakesh Motie, Jayden Seales, Sherfane Rutherford, and Romario Shepherd will also accompany the captain in both squads.
Importance of the West Indies vs Bangladesh 2025 series
This tour has importance for the West Indies with respect to the preparation. West Indies’ men will get familiar with the subcontinental conditions for the ICC T20I World Cup 2025 next year. This will also boost the ranking of the West Indies for qualification for the ICC ODI World Cup 2027.

West Indies is really struggling, especially in the shortest format of cricket. This can be analyzed from their previous series against Nepal. A two-time T20I World Champion has lost a T20I series against Nepal, which is not even a full member. This has surprised the world of cricket because Nepal made history by winning that T20I series. Nepal made a major blow on 29 September 2025, when they won the second T20I against West Indies by 90 runs.
This series will be a tough test for the West Indies because Bangladesh is in good form. Bangladesh has recently clean-swept the T20I series against Afghanistan. The batting and bowling unit of Bangladesh is performing really well.
