India is set to visit England for a Test series

During June and July 2025, India is set to visit England for a Test series. Both the big teams will start their cycle of ICC WTC 2025-27 with the India vs England Test series 2025. The ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle has started from today with the Test between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. India tour of England 2025 is going to be held in the form of a five-Test match series from 20 June. Shubman Gill, an inexperienced captain, will lead the 4th ranked Test team. The legendary and experienced, Ben Stokes will host the Indian team in the challenging conditions. India vs England Test series 2025 of two Test loving nations is important for both the teams.

Indian Captaincy

Shubman Gill takes the captaincy of Indian cricket team and has no experience in leadership in this format of cricket. The star Indian ex-captain, Rohit Sharma, retired from red-ball cricket in the previous month. Also, the star batter, Virat Kohli, ended his Test career in the same month. This makes a huge gap in the Indian Test cricket squad, and a huge responsibility will be on Gill’s shoulders. During the India tour of England 2025, Rishabh Pant will lead the Indian team as a vice-captain. The Indian captain will start his Test journey with the star bowler Jasprit Bumrah.
