Kuldeep clinched the Asia Cup 2025 title from Pakistan during a high-pressure final contest between Pakistan and India at Dubai. The Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav asked Pakistan to bat first in the final after winning the toss. Pakistan set the target of 147 in 19.1 overs with the help of Sahibzada Farhan’s impressive batting. Pakistan started its innings in an attacking way in the powerplay without losing its wickets. Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman opened the innings for Pakistan. Farhan put pressure on the Indian bowlers with his beautiful shots. He smashed 57 runs in just 38 balls with five fours and three sixes and destroyed Bumrah’s dangerous pace attack. The 17th over was the turning point for India, where Kuldeep took three wickets of Pakistan’s all-rounders.

Kuldeep got the wicket of Pakistan’s captain, Salman Ali Agha, on the very first ball of the 17th over. Salman tried for the maximum on that delivery, but pushed the ball into the air. Pakistan was at 133/6 at this troubling and dangerous stage. Shaheen Afridi entered the ground after Salman, and he also tried to hit for maximum. Kuldeep deceived Shaheen on the 4th ball and got his wicket with lbw. Faheem Ashraf made the same mistake on the last ball of the over when he pushed the ball hard. All three batters lost their wickets in the same over and turned the tables.
Farhan and Fakhar contributed 103 runs to Pakistan’s total, but all other batters have made just 43 runs. Especially, Muhammad Haris, Salman Ali Agha, and Hussain Talat were responsible for Pakistan’s downfall.
