Quetta Gladiators set the record highest score in PSL history

Quetta Gladiators set the record highest score in PSL history. Gladiators achieved this feat in a match against Islamabad United on Wednesday, 7 May 2025, at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Quetta reached the PSL highest score ever by making 263 runs while losing just 3 wickets. Quetta Gladiators’ 263 score has broken the previous record of 262 runs by Multan Sultans, which was made against Gladiators in 2023, also in Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The T20 highest score in Pakistan is also 263, which is the PSL 10 highest team total by Quetta. The centuries of Rilee Rossouw and Hassan Nawaz paved the way for Quetta to reach this total in the same inning.

This was the 26th contest of Quetta vs Islamabad 2025 in PSL 10. Both Quetta and Islamabad played their 9th league match. Rossouw made 104 in 46 balls, including 6 sixes and 14 fours in his innings with an explosive strike rate of 226.09. R. Rossouw made his century with almost 88.46% runs through boundaries, and this was the highest score through boundaries by a centurion in PSL history. By doing this, he broke the previous record of Usman Khan, who scored 85% of his century innings through boundaries. He made this record against the Gladiators in 2025, in which he made 120 runs, out of which 102 came through boundaries. Previously, Kamran Akmal and Usman Khan scored three centuries in PSL history, and now, R. Rossouw is the new addition to the list of most centuries in PSL. He also completed his 9th hundred in T20 cricket with the century for Gladiators and equaled the record of Virat Kohli of 9 hundreds in T20 cricket.

The rising star of Pakistan, Hassan Nawaz, also contributed to this PSL 10 highest team total with his explosive 100 in 45 balls with a 222.22 strike rate. His innings consisted of 4 fours and 9 sixes. There was another record for Gladiators of the most sixes in an inning by a batter in PSL, 9 sixes from H. Nawaz.

This was the third 250-plus score by a team in PSL history, and the amazing thing is that all three 250-plus scores came at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. In this way, Rawalpindi also has the record among the seven venues of hosting three 250-plus scores in T20 cricket.

Gladiators made 160 runs in the last 10 overs of their innings and equaled the previous record of Lahore Qalandars, who reached 160 against Peshawar Zalmi in season 2023. This was the highest runs by any team in the last 10 overs in the PSL. The two centuries in the same inning by R. Rossouw and Hassan Nawaz was also a record in the history of the PSL.
